What's wrong with conventional feminine sanitary products?

Conventional big-brand femininie products are made of mostly plastic materials instead of cotton which is more natural and can biodegrade. Plastics create huge problems to the planet and manufacturers still use them becuase they are much cheaper than cotton. Most of the production processes also involve chlorine bleaching, which release a toxic substance called "dioxin" into the enviroment. Dioxin is a very damaging chemical that can accumulate in both human bodies and the natural environment. Women suffer subtle to acute illnesses due to their use of these highly synthetic feminine hygiene prodcuts.

What is organic cotton?

Organic cotton is different from conventional cotton which has been grown with outrageous amount of highly toxic pesticides and chemicals for the past 30 years when our economies and the textile industry bloom. Only a small percentage of cotton farm today is growing cotton organically (without using toxic chemicals and genetically-engineered seeds) - but the good news is, the situation is changing! With more and more people becoming aware of the horrible facts behind conventional cotton agriculture and finding greener alternatives for their lives, demands for organic cotton products are stepping up quickly. Using organic cotton products not only rids you the chance of getting irritated by chemicals left on the textile, it also, to a very large degree, is benefiting the disadvantaged cotton growers, their families, their land, water, soil and country.
